I am excited to let you know that the decision has been made to begin morning worship services in the church facility again on Sundays at 10:00 AM. I am aware that there may be differing opinions on when to start our in-person worship services and activities as well as differing opinions as to what guidelines and/or restrictions should be implemented.
You can be assured that our leadership team has not made these decisions based on fear, based on what other churches are doing, or based on popular opinion. We have prayerfully considered the options and based these decisions on what God is wanting for our church for this time.
As we re-start in person services, we recognize that God has used our online service to enlarge our vision and expand our influence. For this reason, we will continue our Facebook Live services at 10:30 AM (sermon only) on Sundays. These services will also be posted on our web page (www.riverlife.us) on Sunday afternoons. For those who have pre-existing health conditions that make them more vulnerable and for those who are not yet ready to meet in large crowds, we believe the online service will continue to be a great option.
On a final note, I want to make you aware of a couple of needs. First, in order to continue a quality online service, we will need to purchase some additional equipment. Would you join me in asking God to connect us with the right people and that resources would become available for this endeavor? If you or someone you know may be interested in helping financially with this need, please let me know.
Second, we need to pray for our church family. Times like we are currently experiencing can create all kinds of opportunities for the enemy to plant seeds of discontent, discouragement, and discord and we must fight for and protect the spiritual health and unity of our church. Would you join me in praying?
Thank you for being part of the River of Life family. If you have any questions regarding the re-start or if there are specific prayer needs you have, please let me know. God Bless!
